"You are not just digesting your food, but your whole life"
Erika West, digestive coach
Hey! This is me...
Through my own journey with digestive issues since childhood, I only realized in my early 30s that I needed to take my health into my own hands and take responsibility for it. I tried and experimented with many things, and over the years, I shifted my focus from nutritional science more and more toward holistic digestion and gut health. From personal experience, I know that physical symptoms are often the expression of suppressed emotions and will only sustainably disappear when those emotions are given space and are truly felt.
"True health arises when both the body and mind are equally nourished and detoxified."
My youth was marked by two extremes: competitive sports in the first half and a wild, excessive phase with alcohol and drugs in the second. My external awakening process began with the events surrounding 9/11 and continued through my experiences during 18 years of police service and the insights I gained into the "system." My inner transformation, on the other hand, started in my early 30s when, after a life crisis and a trip to India, I decided to follow my own truth. I began to question paradigms and stopped accepting many things as they were.
At 36, I became a single mother. However, living as a "part-time mom" juggling a police job, daycare, and household chores felt unfulfilling. So, I left the security of my civil servant position, became a nutrition and health consultant, and started showing the world to my child. For seven years, this path felt right, until I reached a point of stagnation both professionally and personally. The call for something more and a renewed focus on inner work led me onto a new path—one I am now fully committed to following.
